Wacken is the big loser 2026. They don't have Maiden's anniversary show on their anniversary, although it is not true what many believed. (That Maiden would be on their way to the rest of the world shows on these dates.)

I don't think it is about shorter tours in general. They want to focus on Europe more.

I think it makes sense to believe the tour was planned differently initially (not this long European leg) and also that after already one member retired, that their concerns and wishes play a large role than in the past.

But why? That makes no sense. When people have started buying Christmas presents there will be less money for tickets. They had reasons why they always used to announce the shows early enough before Christmas.

Is it possible that there are still ongoing negotiations about some rest of the world shows? But that would also be unusual. Everything should be settled already. Some even believe the tour will be continued in August. That would be even less time than a year.

I think the remarks indicate that those who think they want to retire soon are wrong and even those who believe "they are a family where one more retires all retire" are wrong.

Wouldn't it be smarter to confirm the countries? Before fans decide to spend their money on something else or other bands because they don't believe anymore a Maiden show will be announced? What is the advantage of waiting?
