Whole lotta songs on that list that shouldn't be there. Between the ones that should actually be on the list, for me it's between Seventh Son vs Rime. And I waffle on those two day to day.
TFF is in my top 5 favorite Maiden albums of all time. It's one of their most unique and by far their most progressive sounding album. And I'll take every opportunity to say that Starblind is my absolute favorite Maiden song.
No Prayer is also definitely an album and I listen to it sometimes...
Keep in mind, whether hot or goth or alternative or whatever, they're still human beings. Some days good some days bad some days awesome and some days super frustrating. Don't hang your hat on a "type" of person, IMO. The best relationship I've ever been in (and best in general) have been...
Folks have been nay-saying a new album for 15 years now, ever since 2010's album was called "The Final Frontier" and was the 15th album. The band do not want to stop. They're revved up with the new drummer and performing better than they have in a few years. They sound great and they could...
Bruce was sick when he set foot in N America. I was at the Bristow VA show and he had a box of Kleenex on the drum riser to blow his nose in between breaths. Then by the time they got to Central and South America, he got even sicker. Some sort of Ear Nose Throat and Butt sickness.
Something I consistently dislike in Akirant's work is that Eddie's head is disproportionately large. His actual art work and penmanship and coloring are on point. Just the too-big head kills it for me. Like when Dan Akroyd is possessed by Viggo in "Ghostbusters 2: Bustin Makes Me Feel Good."
If Maiden is feeling rejuvenated by Simon's drumming on the current tour, and they certainly sound that way, then I'd guess any future album would absolutely have Simon involved.
Say what you want to about the Legacy of the Beast Nights of the Dead Live in Mexico of the Dead Nights Legacy Live Album by Iron Maiden, but the drum performance is fantastic.
If we're talking worst, it's VXI without a doubt. The production on that album gives no depth or punch to the geetars and it's a travesty that Futureal's opening riff is not a dual guitar harmony.
I’d say “inspired by” rather than written in memory of. It’s about the daily struggle of people with depression, having to go through life as if nothing is wrong.
Granted, the lyrics are very specific about certain things that definitely point to Robin Williams.
