Yah, he's not comin my way on the Maiden tour. The Silicon Messiah set seems a good mix of both. Works for me as I'm not super familiar with his solo stuff, only heard that album once. Liked it though
Cat Milk : Who says?
Nomadd: Top men.
Cat Milk: WHO??
Nomaad: Top. Men.
Wee Indiana Jones reference for everyone in the audience there.
Also, Nomaad, your idea about stopping the Knebworth gig to show some of the documentary, good gods man, what a shite idea. Tens of thousands (final...
In Hot Tub Time Machine the guy wearin the Maiden t shirt is an absolute prick. So I'm guessing that Shack thinks that audiences will infer that Maiden are a nonsense bullshit band because the fan in the film is a gimp. I can't remember any Maiden chat in the film though.
I dunno, my first Officially Verified Maiden Memories come from 1990 when i was 7 when Santy brought me The First 10 Years on VHS. I was clearly a fan by this stage, hence the present. My older brother got me into metal and he tells me I was 5 when I first lost my shit to the LAD video.
He...
I was reading some of the Rant section on The Iron Maiden Commentary the other night. One of the rants talked about the "over inflated ticket prices." It was from 1998. So price complaints ain't nothin new, it seems. Still, I don't recall bein pissed at prices until the last 5 or 8yrs but mayhap...
Lovin the Planet Rock Top 500.
Hallowed just dropped at 15. Most Maiden big hitters are gone, that might it for the Irons. Beast might make an appearance.
Paranoid or Stairway for the win, I reckon.
Not this guy, I fuckin loooove a Maiden documentary. I'd happily pay extra for a Making Of for every album. I'd even buy a dvd player so I could watch em.
30 Killers +3
20 “Run to the Hills" +1
14 “Sanctuary" +2
2 "The Wicker Man" [alt. US promo]
0 "From Here to Eternity"
0 Donington Live 1992
3 classics and 3 non entities, easy choice for this guy. Couldn't argue if Killers won the whole thing.
Santy brought me this book. I love it, I must say. It looks and feels class, heavy as fuck. Read some bits, learned some small, new things, saw some new things. I like the pics of the guitars, surprisingly. You see how battered they are, which I find nice. 4 thumbs up from me.
