Few things i've noticed ... Bruce sounds very good still, he sings the books of souls chorus very differently to avoid those high notes. Adrian continues to sound better and better as time goes on. His tone gets better and his playing gets better. Dave and jan sound great as well Nicko shows...

The H solo followed by bruce's vocals and then the woah part is one of the finest moments in maidens catalogue. Could possibly be the highliight of the album

Yes exactly :p In all seriousness though, the middle bit of RoTAM is much called for and it massively adds to the track

Its still a little bit repetative in places. Nothing major though. ROTAM IS how you do a long song perfectly

I guess the whoahs are quite memorable. And the red and the black part is sort of catchy

I have the same problem. It doesn't really have a hook like all the others

It doesn't even come close to being the best song on the album, there are at least 5 better songs

It's not a hateable song. Just wayyyy longer than it needs to be. Apart from a melody or two and Adrians solos, it doesn't really have anything special

The solos are really nice. The rest of the song is utter crap though.

Shadows of the Valley is a few adjustments away from being one of the best songs maiden has ever done. I think the intro takes away from the song. The "into the Valley ..." Part is pure magic. I haven't listened to red and the black in over a week and have no desire to.

There are at least 5 or 6 better choruses. The FHTE chorus is cheesy imo
