It’s good that Seventh Son and Phantom will finally get a post-1999 live release. Its insane to think that the most recent live version of Phantom was LAD! Thank goodness for the Rock AM Ring, Ullevi and Download pro shot videos!

That’s a big shame for the Parisian fans. Most of them wouldn’t have been nerds like us complaining about the encore and just wanted to enjoy good gig (and yes, I count myself as one of those complaining nerds).

With the upcoming re-release of ReLoad, I have been listening to Load and ReLoad all weekend. I think they were the beginning of the problem with all Metallica albums that followed. Too long!

It’s a great song. It was awesome last year and I thought it was great in the 2008 encore position. I think Maiden’s encore song selection has been inconsistent for a long time. 2008 (Moonchild, The Clairvoyant and Hallowed) was incredible. I suppose 2016-17 was great too before Wasted Years...

They are clearly aiming to put on bigger shows. They don’t have to do as many arena shows anymore. They are clearly starting to arrange tours like they said they would start doing from 2004 onwards (bigger shows and festivals). It’s only 22 years later than they said they would do it.

Dance of Death tour. You can see his old Jackson on the end and the acoustic. Did he ever use the Jackson on the DOD tour, @matic22? There is a photo of him warming up with it, but I’m not sure if he ever used it onstage. I know he mainly played the two sunburst strats.
