    Most underated songs

lol, I don't know, there's a lot of songs in the world :p There's plenty Maiden songs I simply don't like, such as 'Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter' , but I just choose not to listen to them. No other song that Maiden have done stirs up my hatred of it like QFF and that feeling has never...

    Most underated songs

That just goes to show that it's horses for courses. I can't imagine how it's possible to underrate 'Quest For Fire' as it's so bloody awful. Not just the worst Maiden song I've ever heard but one of the worst songs of any sort I've ever heard! Still, it would be a boring world if we all thought...

    Most underated songs

I confess that when I first heard Blaze I was largely unimpressed because Bruce is simply a better vocalist but when I revisited his albums years later I found that X Factor was superb and rates as one of my favourite Maiden albums. His voice always seems to me like something of a halfway house...

    Worst Iron Maiden Song

I totally agree that 'The Angel and the Gambler could be a great song. When I first heard it my immediate reaction was that it was a great tune but after 5 minutes of repetition I started losing the will to live and I never listen to it now as the endless repetition is just too painful. There's...

    Question about NO PRAYER album

Ahh, another oldie :) The difference is that I loved the first album. I think it was because I was really into Punk at the time and that first album has quite a Punky feel to it, except Maiden can really play their instruments! It's strange how you react to different albums. I wouldn't argue...

    Question about NO PRAYER album

I can see the argument on both sides really. I am very much a child of 80s Metal so I do tend to gravitate towards that style even today. I need a band where the singer can actually sing, hence I like bands like Maiden, Saxon, Dio etc. I never have been able to see the appeal of a band shouting...

    Worst Iron Maiden Song

I agree that sometimes the songs can just go on too long and are too repetitive. Virtual XI had some great songs on it but I rarely listen to that album because so many of the songs repeat themselves for what seems like an eternity.

    Question about NO PRAYER album

Harris; I both agree and disagree with you :) 'Evil' is an awesome song, which is why it's still a regular feature of the live set and in fact, is the only one from that album that has remained a regular feature of the set. Having said that, I do think that's quite sad as songs like 'Infinite...

    Question about NO PRAYER album

To a degree I'd agree with you as great improvisation is the hardest thing to do well (I don't) but it's not that hard to simply 'do'. I love Dave's tone and style but partly because it's mostly improvised using fast widdles where he repeats a lot of stock licks he knows well, the solos can get...

    Worst Iron Maiden Song

Worst Maiden song for me by a long way is 'Quest For Fire'. Any song that starts: 'In a time when dinosaurs walked the Earth' deserves to be shot at birth! There are other weak ones but none quite as mind numbingly awful as that one.

    Question about NO PRAYER album

I can see a lot of truth in all of these comments, even when they disagree with me :p When I said Adrian was good on Killers but better later, I didn't mean it was a linear progression so with every album he got that little bit better. I meant that if you take Killers as a start point and Final...

    Question about NO PRAYER album

An interesting thread and in many ways an appropriate place to make my first post :) First of all, some background so that you know I'm not some kid who just got into Maiden last week. The first Maiden song I ever heard was 'Prowler' shortly after the first Maiden album was released. It...
