They kinda did in 2010! I went to this tour but unfortunately was a dumb kid at the time and got too drunk to enjoy it/remember anything, hopefully some recording from this period is released when the band retire and the vault opens...
This kinda thing happens on Spotify a lot. If you look at Motorhead's most streamed songs, apart from Ace of Spades it's completely random. God Was Never on Your Side is a filler track from a minor album yet is one of their most streamed songs, way ahead of some of their hits and set staples...
Tour resumed this week in Brazil but it's the same setlist as last year. The ShieldofPain setlist isn't coming until the European dates start in June I guess.
A couple of different songs from the new album and any 4-5 songs from Painkiller would keep me happy, I played it twice the other day and it still feels so to the point and succinct.
Not too bothered about the setlist anyway, just want to enjoy what time we have left with the band.
They've announced a few dates with Scorpions for 2025 and I see that it's being branded as the 'Shield of Pain' tour. 35th anninversary of Painkiller tour to come?
I've seen a couple of tribute bands this year, caught one last night with a really different setlist, lots of post 2000 deep cuts I'd love to see IM play again.
