Agree! As for content on the album - I'd love to see something like 10 tracks - 4 shorter (3-5 minutes) bangers, 4 proggy mid-length (6-8 minutes) and maybe two epic (10 minutes).
I mean I'd be happy with anything, but I think the above would be a good mix
There's a small part of me that wants Maiden not to tour in 2026 at all. In the hopes that they can recuperate and write/record a new album - bear in mind they've been on back to back tours around the world since 2022. Or perhaps just a couple of dates in August/September to tease a new album...
For example, Steve would do a medley of all his bass-only intros and then yell football chants into the microphone, followed by Adrian just playing half of the Wasted Years riff and then letting the E & B strings ring out.
(written with love & admiration of my two favourite musicians)
I think a lot of people here need to realize that as a whole Maiden are still performing at a very high calibre - not just compared to bands of the same age, but many heavy metal bands of younger age too.
The issue with Bruce not reaching high notes on Aces or a few others? So fucking what

Fair enough - I like H's tone, it's 'chunky' while not being too dirty.
But I think it varies a lot from where you're stood. I think his tone is great if you don't have the issues of a large arena to compromise it - so it could be his tone is fine but the translation through the PA has degraded...
I just found a video from Paris 19th July - of 2MTM - Adrian's guitar sounded fine. Could easily just depend on where you are in the venue. Or maybe you were there on the other night and it sounded worse?
This is a topic I've always been interested in - H's rhythmic variation on certain riffs. Wicker Man is the same.
2 Minutes original version on the record is pretty much all down-strokes, mainly sticking to the A and D strings, only really extending to a full power chord vibrato on the 'D-C-D...
Interest how often H chops and changes his guitars - wonder if the Hooligan will be back for another show - usually I think 'artwork' guitars are cheesy but I like the Hooligan one - although it was odd that he used it on TFP tour.
Something nobody really ever mentions is the Ibanez Roadstar H...
Nearly as bad as the drummer that used to play with Vince Neil on his solo shows - Zoltan Chaney - sure it's entertainment value but in all honestly it gets very fucking tiring after 30 seconds of it.
I think Kev's first three albums with Maiden were great, BNW, DOD and AMOLAD. They sound like a like a live band, but sonically the sound is still tight and punchy. Flight 666 was mixed by Kevin too and it is a great sounding live album.. But TFF, BOS and Senjutsu are all just a bit dry and...

Ironic that in LOTB tour with Where Eagles Dare, and probably previous tours, they reduce the pre-solo section quite a bit compared to the studio version (I'm sure of it anyway...). WED is quite a word song for Bruce and high too.. But they've reduced his breather time!
