Not the same band... Not the same music!

Ahh what the heck:

Don't ignore Accident Of Birth! A very solid and atmospheric metal album. The remastered version improved a lot (guitars louder in the mix!)

After all these years I think I like it a bit better than The Chemical Wedding. Maybe because it's more melodic. And to me it was very relieving when it came out. Bruce back to metal!  :yey:

Accident of Birth is my favourite Bruce album.  Skunkworks is simply unique.  I find it helps to listen to it as an album instead of individual songs.

Some individual songs I really like though.

Back From The Edge have the best vocals and most touching lyrics I have ever heard of him.

Especially this melancholic (but determined!) part, with the harmonic guitars underneath, I find fantastic:

Now and then I wonder where the faces from my childhood have gone
Like father, like son in your bones it lives on glowing shadows

..then the solo and the pulsing music are heading us to the brilliant vocal canon and harmonies..

Back from the Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeedge!!

Since we're there, my favourite from Skunkworks is "Inertia".

That was the first track I ever heard (and saw!) of this album. I got a half heart attack when he performed it with Alex, acoustically on Dutch television. Not because of the song. It was the first revealing of his short haircut! :)
