Iron Maiden 2026 Nominees Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

Looks like Maiden will be inducted this year.
I thought the same. They're the only metal act among the nominees, and there were so many moanings, speculations, and accusations of being prejudiced against metal artists. I think they will induct them via the Music Excellence Award. And they never improved the list of IM members before, so... we will see. But the band and management are completely indifferent to that.

If Maiden do get in with Blaze there is a massive disparity that two guys who played on multiple platinum selling albums didn’t get in with their respective band - Bruce Kulick and Eric Carr.

Bob Welch was also famously excluded from the Fleetwood Mac induction.

Mick Taylor should have got in with the Stones.

I agree with Bruce on RNR hall of fame.

That being said Stratton being there and not Blaze is mental IMO. But I don't expect anything logical from an institution that has Rock and Roll in its name but accepts rap, blues, and pop artists.
Blaze is there too

Yah, strange update from the hall if they aren't seriously considerin inducting Maiden.

Glad for Blaze. It's correct.

Hoping for a Dennis and Blaze duet of Wrathchild.
Could be a red herring though. Initially, Motorhead's nomination only included the classic lineup of Lemmy, Eddie Clarke and Phil Taylor. The nomination was amended shortly after to include Wurzel, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee (Robbo Robertson too, I think?) Motorhead didn't make it in that year.

EDIT: I stand corrected by a quick search, only Campbell and Dee were added.

And they were voted in as Performer and not the Musical Excellence that Priest got. Kinda surprised. Will be interesting to see how they will handle it. Personally I wouldn't mind them all being there and performing, just to see Bruce and Blaze together on stage.

Edit: Just realized they will be in Australia on tour during the induction ceremony Nov 14th. So Nicko, Blaze, and Dennis would be the ones who could attend.

100%. Despite the obvious cynicism most rock fans have regarding the Hall, it is the one bonafide event that leads to former members of bands of yore actually reuniting and performing (the Judas Priest induction for example, the only time we will see them with KK and Les Binks). I am also excited to see if any of the Maiden members end up taking part in one of the All-Star Jams - always a big highlight of the night.
