These event shirts are generally terrible! I’m not sure how much they are paying the (2?) main artists that do them but I think they should button up quality control a bit. Granted they seem to have a history of humor and it’s good to bring some ‘good time’ levity but they seem so amateurish.

The logistics would be hard, but I would love to see maiden put out an open call and they pick ~10 or 15 artists to do these shirts.

I can imagine there are plenty of talented fanatic maiden fans / artists out there that would do it for the exposure and a nominal payment.

Seems like a neat way to bring the fans into it and I know there are a lot of artists who have been influenced by Eddie over all these years.

I can't help thinking they've exhausted most of the themes they can use for tees over the course of multiple tours. Some of them have been great designs, others have looked like clumsy attempts to get a local reference in and the composition isn't great as a t shirt print. Eddie on the Thames cable car or London Eye or whatever it was comes to mind. On the other hand I love the viking one they did for Norway and Sweden in 2016 which I just had to have as a souvenir

Seriously though, I'm okay with this London one for their 50th anniversary, if it's Eddie springing from an iron furnace
 
Regarding event shirts - I think they peaked with the Book of Souls 2016/2017 tours and have never quite been the same quality art since then.

This is likely more to do with the base Eddies per tour but a good deal of those BOS tour event shirts are some of my very favorites.

I'm just glad they sell these after the shows through the official store. I've been to shows and have seen folks buying up multiples of these in hopes of hawking them on ebay nearly immediately which always rubbed me the wrong way.

They'll record it for sure. But I doubt they'll release it if it starts during daylight.

I was expecting something more West Ham-like (just the shirt) and special to say, but it's nice. Though it would have been much more fitting. You've got Eddie in their shirt, Steve, Bruce(from the show!) and the stadium. Eddie emerging from hell is an odd choice, but then again what else? Pure football like they did not long ago? His face could be better, but otherwise it's solid.

edit: it's a special one off programme with photos and stories! Cool.

I hope the Match day Programme is available online and/or after the show. I want one real bad but it will *not* survive 5 hours in Front Standing in 32+ degrees heat - it'll be a crumpled up used mop.
 
I have x1 seated ticket available for London Stadium tomorrow. Section 203 Row 67. Going cheap (50), it's on Ticketmaster resale or can do Ticketmaster transfer without the fees.
