Actually, this is a rather nice version of Aces High. It's rare now. Adrian's backing vocals help, ofc. It shouldn't have been played, though. It's the fastest played song in the encore, which is good. Adrian's with his preferred opening lick of the solo from 2022.

I think I will leave at Iron Maiden to save myself the embarrassment in front of my friends. My mates will be fine without me. They are big kids.

I’m sorry but this is just shocking. I cannot fathom their utter arrogance. How can they think that this is an acceptable performance by any stretch of the imagination? To put it bluntly Bruce sounds shit. The band sound incredible.

In 2018, Bruce held it together but by a razors edge. This is just embarrassing. The whole thing about ‘authenticity’ just winds me up as well. How the fuck can Bruce say that down-tuning is not authentic? I suppose the testicles scraped over hot tarmac version he is giving us at the moment is revealing his authentic persona: stubborn and arrogant.

It’s sad to see a band that I love perform like this. I can forgive slip ups in a performance, but this is a systemic issue for the band.

I’m wondering what legal right Maiden have to striking videos on YouTube.

They can’t claim it’s their copyright video (something like Death on the Road etc which they are selling) because it’s not.

You can film something in a public space perfectly fine, there is no expectation of privacy in something like that.

So that leaves the song ownership. YouTube automatically detects that and is paying the songwriters for that.

So under what grounds are Maiden striking videos?

YouTube is an absolute hell hole of illegally stricken material.

One of the copyright tenets is that media can be used for review purposes, under the "fair use" policy. For anyone who's ever watched the Angry Joe Show, you'll see just how much copyright holders abuse the platform. It's just disgusting.

Not that bad actually. I just listened and watched the performance once..but did the middle thing go on far too long? That was the original problem here, nowhere near as bad as what happened to the ending of POTO.

They were drunk as hell during this gig as the support band's bassist had a birthday and they dug heavily into the bar before the gig.

I only found this weird performance of Hallowed Be Thy Name last year, so I have listen to more clips and pay attention if they mess more songs.
By the way, I don't I mentioned that before, but the bootleg has songs in weird order The song order is wrong because it was transferred from vinyl in order of sides 1, 4, 2, 3. 'The Trooper' has pops.

I can't be the only one who absolutely loved that they extended the middle of SSOASS! It was transcendental!

So super short "review" of Stockholm second night: Completely satisfied with all of it! There's just no boring parts in this set. Simon definately made things sound a bit different - less jazz and more punch and yes, there were fuck ups here and there but no one really notices (apart from the nerds in here). It will surely be at the top 5 for me.

Complaint: If the screen would provide something like 60 fps it would be have been much more immersive. The bit in hallowed and "big Eddie" is suffering here.

Question: the fanclub FTTB guys... Are they bored out of their minds? I managed to get to second row and none of them seemed to enjoy it like the rest of us in the back. It must be tough on the bones to putting a year's worth of salary into traveling with your favorite band. /s

I completely agree. There is no excuse for Aces High to be played as the opening song for the encore again. This is one of the biggest mistakes the band has made in their entire career, it is simply unacceptable. In fact, it borders on the unbelievable. How can musicians of this caliber not realize the shit they are doing?!
