I bet Flash is stoked to see the 2nd half now.

Almost came back. Gunners had 20 minutes to tie it but I think Chambers' red card ruined it. Oh well. Looks like another year where Arsenal's best bet is qualifying for the Champions League.

Agüero's injured, might be out for a while. City's fucked, Dzeko is raw, Jovetic injured and they loaned out Negredo. Silva and Kompany are also injured. I can't see Chelsea gerrarding this now, even after today's loss.

That was such a shit performance by Man Utd, but 3 points are 3 points. I think the most likely outcome for the season is this Top 3 (Chelsea, City, United) + Arsenal in their 4th place spot. Liverpool are too shit to compete, maybe if Sturridge comes back and starts playing like Suarez last season, but I doubt it.

@The Flash - thoughts on tonight's game between Galatasaray and Arsenal?

Oh crap - 1-0 to Arsenal while I was typing ...

EDIT: 0-3 after 28 minutes. Gala haven't bothered to even show up for this one ...

Fucking Liverpool ruining Balo and Markovic  The former should've never left Milan (Torres and Pazzini scored 1 goal combined this season), the latter should've gone to Chelsea. So happy for their impending meltdown tonight, can't see them breaking down Basel's defence even with 12 players, let alone 10 (Markovic just got a straight red ).

That Markovic red .. as silly as you get them. Took a glance over his shoulder saw that the opponent was there. Swung back his arm and hit him in the face (but not very hard). The red is OK, I guess - attempt at violent conduct :D Liverpool can't even get their violent conduct right these days.

Gala put up a great offensive display in the second half against Gunners but you have no place in the Champions League with that defense. By conceding 4 goals again, Galatasaray finishes the group stage having conceded 4 goals in 4 games. (0-4, 1-4 against Dortmund, 1-4, 1-4 against Arsenal). Living up to the nickname Fener and Beşiktaş fans gave us this season: G4L4T4S4R4Y.

Atlético, Real, Monaco, Dortmund, Bayern, Barcelona, Chelsea and Porto advance as leaders.
Juventus, Basel, Leverkusen, Arsenal, Manchester City, Paris Saint Germain, Schalke and Shakhtar advance as 2nd placed teams.

Monaco (4th) is the only lower seeded team to make it out of the group stage, taking Benfica (1st) down. Looking forward to the draw.

Poor seeding perhaps. For the neutral, I find it uninteresting because teams can lose a tie or two and still go through, making the individual matches largely inconsequential. Cup format is more interesting to me. Less money generated though. Apparently once upon a time the Champions League/Cup was a competition for champions.

Rumours for MUFC-LFC game today:
Liverpool will drop Mignolet for Brad Jones and play Sterling as a false 9. Manchester United to start with Rooney, RVP and Wilson.

Today's game was football porn. The only thing that could've made it better would've been a Gerrard slip or a red card.

De Gea is an absolute monster.
