Great Opening Lines

Does anyone know this?  I'm tempted to cheat, post and move on.

Me too, but I have no other choice if I want to keep this thread alive

P.S. Moonchild, please give us something easier next time  :)

As moderator and thread-starter, I declare Moonchild's quote dead. We don't know.

Here's the new one ... came up on my ipod today, let's see how good your classic metal knowledge is.

"Visions cupped within a flower"

Behind The Wall Of Sleep by Black Sabbath.

this should be easy:
Out on the street for a living; Picture's only begun.....Got you under their thumb

Kiss, "Black Diamond"

And you forgot the "ooh ooh ooh". :p

This one's too easy if I give you the entire line. Here's the first few words.

"Now when the day goes to sleep"

"...and the full moon looks [lurks?]."  Green Manalishi by Judas Priest

Next one:  "And then I saw him in the crowd."  (This may be a bit more challenging.)

A lot of people had gathered round him
The beggars shouted and the lepers called him
The old man said nothing
He just stared about him

All going down to see the Lord Jesus

Challenging, indeed. ;)

I figured Perun would get that one, as he's the resident Queen megafan.

Don't know his quoted line.  Googled it because I was curious, and nothing came up.  Very mysterious.

How about some kind of rule that if a line remains unknown for X days, anyone can post a new one?  Would keep the game more dynamic and help avoid posts contemplating whether to have a new one or not.

I expected at least Loosey would get that one. But well.

It was Beneath these Waves, by Demons and Wizards.

I agree. I suggest 48 hours.
