My votes:

Beatles by far. This is not one of VH's good cover songs. Hey Jude
Elton song is OK, but this Stones jam cooks. Can't You Hear Me Knocking
Do you know where you are? Welcome To The Jungle
Great Foreigner song in the last pair. Juke Box Hero

Beatles and Stones win easily. "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" has one the best opening riffs ever.
"Welcome to the Jungle".
Can't stand the Foreigner song, Skynyrd is OK.

The fact Guns N' Roses are winning depresses me. Then, of course, I expected it. Dang it, seeds. You ruin all my fun.

Not even going to lie, Juke Box Hero might be one of my favorite rock songs of all time.

I hate the second matchup. Great, great Stones track versus Elton's best song.
Other matches are unremarkable.

As overplayed as it is, I gotta go with Stairway.

Wheel In the Sky! I'm not a big Journey fan, but that's definitely my favorite song.

Kansas, by many, many, many, many, many miles.

Aerosmith.

10. Layla (Derek & the Dominoes)

My votes:

Jefferson Starship is a worthy successor to their origin band, and their classic "Jane" is both overlooked and underra- ... OK, that's as far as I get with a straight face. Hairway To Steven

Wheel is a very good song, but I got four more ready and now they're steady and then they went. The Ocean

Third pair is downright impossible. I very much want to vote for GnR - at least they were swinging for the fences on November Rain. But, the thought of Wayward Son kicked out of a "classic rock" party feels wrong. However, that guitar solo by Slash can't be ignored. Although, the Kansas song has better and more clever lyrics, and a killer riff. Nonetheless, Guns 'n Roses... fuck it I'm gonna flip a coin. Heads GnR, tails Kansas... it's heads. November Rain

After that mess, thank H for an easy final pair. Sweet Emotion

Is this supposed to be intentional?

"Stairway to Heaven" may be somewhat overrated, but it's like a mountain; throwing rocks at it only makes it higher.
"The Ocean" is a lot of fun.
I like both songs less than most, but I prefer "November Rain".
Oooh, now we're getting to the Aerosmith I like!
