I love La Grange, but Watchtower gets my vote because Dylan lyrics.

Hardest choice yet, but I gotta go with Queen since...

...I can vote for CCR here!

And, Queen again.

"Wish You Were Here" (Pink Floyd) [5] vs. "White Room" (Cream) [133]

"The Boys Are Back In Town" (Thin Lizzy) [197] vs. "Livin' On A Prayer" (Bon Jovi) [69]

"Ohio" (Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young) [284] vs. "Riders On The Storm" (The Doors) [101]

"Free Bird" (Lynyrd Skynyrd) [37] vs. "T.N.T." (AC/DC) [165]

One day left for Round 9
Also open: Round 10 , Round 11

My votes:

Cream rocks hard, great guitar work, but Pink Floyd keeping it simple works better. Wish You Were Here
This chick got up and she slapped Tommy and Gina's face. Man we just fell about the place. The Boys Are Back In Town
I gained a bit of respect for "Ohio" in this game, I like it more now, but not enough to vote for it here. Riders On The Storm
Epic solo wins. Free Bird

I'm surprised The Doors' rather boring song is running away with it against "Ohio," one of the angriest songs ever written. Otherwise my picks are the same too.

Tough choice, but Floyd is better.
If Phil Lynott loses to Jon Bon Jovi, I'm giving up on this forum's taste.
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young may have been angry, but they weren't "Riders on the Storm".
"Free Bird", I guess.

"Bohemian Rhapsody" (Queen) [1] vs. "Killer Queen" (Queen) [128]

"Little Wing" (Jimi Hendrix) [449] vs. "Time" (Pink Floyd) [65]

"Freewill" (Rush) [481] vs. "School's Out" (Alice Cooper) [160]

"Light My Fire" (The Doors) [33] vs. "Sabotage" (Beastie Boys) [417]

One day left for Round 13
Also open: Round 14 , Round 15

My votes:

Tough way for one of these songs to go. Bohemian Rhapsody
I'd love to see Jimi do well, but the Floyd is too epic. Time
Love Cooper, but not this song. Freewill
Time to dispel the mirage. Light My Fire

Tough round actually...

Bohemian
Little Wing
is beautiful but Time has those universally great lyrics about time, coupled with great music:

"Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun"

Alice!
Sabotage is fun....But Light My Fire is great.

"Killer Queen" is their finest three-minute hour.
Love the Hendrix song, but "Time" is something else.
Not crazy about either. Cooper is more fun.
Come on baby, light my fire.

"Wish You Were Here" (Pink Floyd) [5] vs. "The Boys Are Back In Town" (Thin Lizzy) [197]

"Riders On The Storm" (The Doors) [101] vs. "Free Bird" (Lynyrd Skynyrd) [37]

"Limelight" (Rush) [140] vs. "You Really Got Me" (The Kinks) [309]

"Another Brick In The Wall, Pt. 2" (Pink Floyd) [21] vs. "Barracuda" (Heart) [85]

Top song in each pair wins a tie.

One day left for Round 1
Also open: Round 2 , Round 3

My votes:

I recently enjoyed a Thin Lizzy binge. Not gonna stop now. The Boys Are Back In Town
Epic solo still wins. Free Bird
Rush bias. Limelight
Last choice is tough... Barracuda rocks, but that Floyd song has both bassline and guitar solo to die for. Another Brick In The Wall Pt. 2

Here's the thing about Pink Floyd. Sometimes you have to listen to a lot of filler and ambient soundtrack music to get to the good stuff. But when you do, it's really, REALLY good. Like with these two songs. Plus Free Bird and one of the most intelligent and personal Neil Peart lyrics ever.

Tough choice. The Floyd song is probably better two days out of three, but today I want to keep Thin Lizzy alive. "The Boys Are Back in Town".
Can a free bird ride on the storm? Whatever the case, I vote for The Doors.
You got me so I don't know what I'm doing.
I still think "Another Brick in the Wall" is pointless on its own. "Barracuda".
