Trying to work out the exact date of the various member tenures

I've gotten this far:

Steve Harris: December 25th 1975-today
Dave Murray: Unknown date 1976 - Unknown date 1977, Unknown date 1978 - today
Dennis Stratton: Unknown date 1979 - Unknown date 1980
Clive Burr: Unknown date 1979 - Unknown date 1982
Paul Di'Anno: Unknown date 1978 - Unknown date 1981
Adrian Smith: Unknown date 1980 - Unknown date 1990, February 15th 1999 - today
Janick Gers: Unknown date 1990 - today
Bruce Dickinson: Unknown date 1981 - August 28th 1993, February 15th 1999 - today
Blaze Bayley: December 30th 1993 - February 15th 1999

Could anyone help me workout the dates more exactly?

It's really curious but Rod and Steve always have been said that they were in Reading Festival watching Bruce performance with Samson that day and later they were talking with him asking for join.(August 29th) He made the audition the following day (according from the Official Biography by Mick Wall) But looking for Maiden tour dates in 1981 in their official website that day they were playing in Bayonne, France. So they probably canceled the last two dates in France.Anyway…

The last photo taken to Paul was in Denmark on Sep. 10th the last date of Killers tour

The exact date of the creation of Maiden wasn't December... More likely November 1975... Steve (and Ron) placed an ad in the Melody Maker in October 1975, which is how they drafted Terry Rance, who was the one who invited Dave Sullivan. A few days later they invited Paul Day to join. This all happened in less than a month.

Dave Murray audition took place on the first days of December 1976. After being fired by Dennis, he was invited to re-join after Steve went to see an Urchin gig which took place around March 20, 1977.

The first rehearsal Dennis Stratton attended was January 2, 1980, but he got contacted by Rod and talked to Steve and Davey the last days of December 1979. Stratton's official dismissal from the band took place on October 22, 1980.

Clive's audition took place on January 8, 1980 and he was officially let go between December 27 and 30.

Paul Di'Anno's audition took place on August 30, 1978. He was invited to join a couple of days later. He was given his walking papers on September 13, 1981.

Adrian Smith was invited to join Maiden around September 28-30, 1980. He was already a member of the band by October 16, 1980.

Janick Gers he was invited to join on the first week of February.

Bruce's first audition took place on August 30, 1981 / his second audition took place on September 19, 1981. On the latter it was decided that he would be Maiden's next singer.

Blaze... I haven't yet fully research this however his dismissal took place on January 1999, not february. Also, I'm quite sure that by December 1998 the writting on the wall was already there.

Definitely a myth created by the band. The real sources all point to late October - Early November 1975. Just consider this, Steve had already gotten together with Ron Matthews and they had already decided to start a band of their own by early October. They (Steve) placed an ad in the Melody Maker which caught the eye of Terry Rance. A couple of days after this ad, Steve and Terry meet at the Bridgehouse and talked, the next day they play together and Terry is in. Then Steve asks Terry if he can recommend another guitarist... He invited Dave Sullivan... Who would audition also a couple of days later... He gets in.

All they need now is a singer. Wilcock wants to do his own thing so Steve, who had met Paul Mario Day while walking past the motorbike shop where he worked at, goes and invited him to join. After hearing him, he gets in and the first line up was ready. All this happened in just weeks, so there's definitely no way the December 25, 1975 date is correct.

So Dennis and Adrian were both in the band from at least October 16, 1980 to October 22, 1980...?
