I don't dislike metal as a whole, I dislike most of its sub-genres. If you perceive my opinion as being a snob, feel free. I won't stop doing it unless I'm violating any rules.

That was actually what I thought you meant. But "I respect your opinion" has the connotation of "I disagree with you" on this forum, so...
