Spam in personal message inbox?

Dr. Eddies Wingman

Brighter than thousand_suns
I just found a message in my inbox stating a virus had been detected in my computer. It included a link. I thought the entire thing was stinking of old fish, so I ignored the link and deleted the message. I just wonder, have any others experienced the same lately?

PS: I just noticed the same topic was addressed in General Discussion.

I saw that happen, when I looked here.

At least, I saw that the user AdminGirLX pm-ed someone (or more people, I think the pm-ing is still going on right now).

Might be a spambot or something like that. Check that website description on "her" profile, very suspicious.

Look, a lot of people are suddenly online which probably means that they've all received that pm (and were alerted via e-mail).

Just posted news of this in the 'general forum', sorry! To reiterate it's spam and total bollocks! Delete it and DON'T click on the link whatever you do!

They're not the same (different IPs), but this one already registered twice as "forumAdmin" and "StopAdmin". That alone is a reason enough for ban.
