Which country was the only country in the world with a national flag with just one color and no design, insignia, or other details?

Correct!

Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya (1977–2011)

The flag of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya was adopted on 11 November 1977 and consisted of a green field. It was the only national flag in the world with just one color and no design, insignia, or other details. It was chosen by Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi to symbolize his political philosophy (after his Green Book).

The green colour traditionally symbolises Islam, reflecting the historical green banners of the Fatimid Caliphate. In Libya, green was also a colour traditionally used to represent the Tripolitania region.

Ooh, flag trivia!

Which is the most frequently found word written on current national flags in the world? Bonus if you can name all the countries that feature it.

Exactly! How many flags is it featured on?
I won't expect anyone to know just how often it appears in total.

Just a guess, I swear.

Uh. Iraq, Syria...Saudi Arabia? Yemen? Oman? Bahrain? New Libya? Egypt?

There are only four, but you'll never be able to guess them all, not even from looking at the flags.

Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan. Saudi Arabia and Iraq are easy to spot. The former has the shahada, the second says Allahu akbar. Afghanistan also has the shahada, but it's very small, hidden in the coat of arms.
You'd be forgiven for not spotting any script on the Iranian flag, but the pattern running in the green and red fields says Allahu akbar too - for a total of 22 times. Moreover, the coat of arms in the middle may be interpreted as a stylised writing of Allah, made to look like it's made up of crescents and a sword and arranged in the shape of a tulip, the flower that grows from the blood of the martyrs.

The Comoros also used to have a flag which said Allah and Muhammad, the flag of Afghanistan under the Taliban had the shahada, and the ISIL flag says Allah rasul (prophet) Muhammad in the centre. That's all I know of.

Everyone knows the Olympic rings colors come from the most common colors on national flags. They cover the top six (the white background is #2 most frequently used color). What's #7?
