Rumours going around that Frank Lampard will play for Manchester City until early next year when MLS season starts. He'll sign for New York City FC which is owned by Manchester City owners, so this would be a logical solution.

Yaya Sanogo scored 4 goals against Benfica in Emirates Cup today, earth must be coming to an end.

In other news, Atlético are reportedly closing in on a deal with Zakaria Bakkali, fantastic move if it goes ahead. Really like Atlético's transfer strategy this summer.

So Van Gaal used the 3-4-1-2 formation in all 5 games with Manchester United, winning 4 out of 5 (plus one on penalties) :D Good times ahead. Still, there's a need for at least 2 new center backs and one central midfielder.

Not that anyone here cares about Milan, but Constant's moving to Trabzonspor and Armero will replace him (loan first, with an option to buy). Trabzonspor also got Oscar Cardozo from Benfica. Keylor Navas officially signed for Real Madrid, meaning Diego Lopez is on his way out, Milan will try to get him. He's miles ahead of our 3 goalkeepers, would be a good signing, although I'd prefer Mattia Perin who is 10 years younger.

Vahid Halilhodzic (newly acquired from Algerian national team) threatened Trabzonspor last week, saying he'd leave the club if the club doesn't sign the players he wants. They currently have signed two players from his Algerian national team (Essaid Belkalem and Carl Medjani) in addition to Cardozo and Constant.

It's all good and dandy for Europa League but there's a 5+3 foreign player restriction in the local league so they might struggle a bit.

Man, he was the Earl Hebner of football referees, in that he was more well-known than a lot of the players.

Arsenal draws a Turkish team in the Playoff round for the second year in a row, this time it's Beşiktaş.

Oh my God. Celtic were beaten 6-1 on aggregate by Legia Warsaw but they've been reinstated to the Champions League because Legia played an ineligible player.

Liverpool is interested in Mauro Icardi. It'd be a great signing for them. As a proven wife-stealing backstabber, he'd fill in the douchebag void created by Suarez's departure :D

Eliaquim Mangala joins Manchester City. Much needed move. Kompany-Mangala duo has the chance to be the best centre back duo in the world.
