Within the same place in our psyches live music and emotion. Both have spectrums of _expression, and both influence each other. A fortunate few can transcribe that very private place. One such man is composer/keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen.

Magical elements constitute the spellbinding music of Finland’s NIGHTWISH. To acquaint yourself with NIGHTWISH’s Century Child, visualize a classical opera backed by heavy metal music dealing with the heart’s deepest yearnings, with the joys of childhood innocence, and the pain over the loss of that precious naïveté.

2002’s double-platinum selling Century Child is unmistakably NIGHTWISH. Joined by former Sinergy bassist Marco Hietala, the band combined his vocal talents with Tarja’s heavier vocal delivery. A more subtle listening experience than previous albums, it reminds us that we are all masters of our own wishes.

Century Child will be available to North American audiences in its licensed version on September 23rd. Finland's finest will be making their U.S. debut on September 5th at the sold-out Prog Power USA IV festival at Earthlink Live in Atlanta, Georgia. They'll play The Medley in Montreal, Quebec, Canada the following evening, then return to the U.S. to play at L'Amour in Brooklyn, New York on September 7th. Don't miss them!
