I watched a documentary about the building of this line recently and I thought of you, BW, at the time. And I thought exactly that. And then I thought, yes but it will probably take you a lot longer than the way you got there last time - just look at all the places it's got to stop along the way!
 
Yeah. At the moment the national rail train takes 30 minutes to get to Paddington and then it's Circle or Hammersmith & City line before changing on to the Overground at Whitechapel. I suppose Crossrail will ease congestion on the national rail line between Reading and Paddington at peak times though. House prices here are going to sky rocket though.
