A question concerning the Brazil 1996 bootleg.

Albie

Keeping an open eye on the Weeping Angels.
I have this bootleg (MP3 sourced, I might add) and have a question about it. Man on the Edge (the opener) starts OK, but the lyrics are sung as thus:

The freeway is jammed
And it's backed up for miles
What we deserve we just don't get you see
A briefcase, a lunch and a man on the edge
Each step gets closer to losing his head
Is someone in heaven, are they looking down
Nothing is fair just you look around

Completely missing the lyrics:
The car is an oven and baking is wild
Nothing is ever the way it should be

The gap seems seamless and, unless you knew the track, would not even notice the error. When the verse is repeated later in the track, it is sung correctly.

The question is, is this as the bootleg should be or did Blaze screw up (he was renowned for forgetting the odd lyric, after all) and the rest of the band, been the pros as they are, realise and act accordingly?

The gap is pretty noticeable to me. You can hear a break in volume and quality. Or at least I can ;)

I had a listen in the headphones (with the voulme up as loud as I could handle) and I did notice a slight dip in quality, but no break in volume. Seems my copy may have been edited accordingly, but at least the error exists.

Hi there!

I've got also a question. Years ago I downloaded a live version of "Fortunes of War" and I don't really know from which bootleg it is. The filename says that it is "Monsters of Rock 1996" but my brain says that I once read that it was in Sao Paulo 1996, so the track might be on the "Brazil 1996" bootleg.

I made 3 short excerpts for you to listen to, so if anybody can tell me, please answer me, I'm really searching for that CD.

I always notice the guy that is yelling "MAIDEN!" (you can hear it a the end of excerpt 4 and at the beginning of 5), that gives a really cool atmosphere to the recording.

Rock on!
