Sorry Cobra, you misunderstand me - he most definitely does say Magus.  Apologies for not being clear, but what I was trying to say was that "Magi" is a word in fairly common usage and is always pronounced with a soft G.  Magi is the plural of Magus, which is also the origin of the word...

I think the second line is reinforcing the second - i.e. the 2nd line reads that he doesn't regret his actions.  For me, this makes more sense when you look at the last two verses as a whole: He's taken someone’s life away There’s not a day that goes by he regrets what he’s done He should have...
