    Out of the Silent Planet

'out Of The Silent Planet' Somehow I don't know what to think about this song. It's a good song and it fits perfectly on the album. But I just don't get it why they edited it down and released it as a single. Did they ever play this song live at all? I only know that the "live" video to this...

The Thin Line Between Love and Hate

'the Thin Line Between Love And Hate' Another good song on BNW, but with a different feel to it. But even though I like this song very much, I think it is a bit too long, but that's just a personal opinion. This one sounds a bit more relaxed than the other songs, which makes it the obvious...

    The Wicker Man

'the Wicker Man' I heard this song a while before it was actually released as a single. It was a very bad mp3 recording, but it was enough to blow me away the first time I heard it. Needless to say I bought the single and then the album the day it came out. Back then I found it to be a...

    The Nomad

'the Nomad' Ok, the lyrics could be better, but to me it's the guitar work which makes this song stand out on the album. It really carries the picture of a desert oasis with camels and all that stuff. Just brilliant.

    Ghost of the Navigator

'ghost Of The Navigator' This song is among my alltime favourites. The guitar intro is great, so are the lyrics and just about everything else in this song. Five stars without a doubt.

    Dream of Mirrors

'dream Of Mirrors' This is one of the standout tracks on the album. I really like the lyrics of the chorus, seems they had some pretty heavy nightmares. Also a great instrumental section in this song, so it doesn't become boring, which is a problem with some of their longer songs.

    Brave New World

'brave New World' This song made me read the book, which is quite unusual for me. It's a good song with strong lyrics and a great chorus. However, they did not have to repeat the chorus that often.

    The Fallen Angel

'the Fallen Angel' It's kind of a filler song on BNW, and it just isn't as good as some of the other material. But it's still a good song, it would have been among the best on some other albums, but on BNW there are much better tracks.

    Blood Brothers

'blood Brothers' I don't like this song, though it's very emotional and has very well written lyrics. It works better live, with the audience singing the chorus.

    The Mercenary

'the Mercenary' Agreed, it's a fairly average song, would be a standout track on No Prayer or Fear Of The Dark, but there are much better songs on BNW.

    Como Estais Amigos

'como Estais Amigos' A good song and a very moving end to the album. That's all I have to say about this one.

    When Two Worlds Collide

'when Two Worlds Collide' This second way to interpret the song doesn't come out very well. Perhaps they should have written the lyrics in a bit more ambiguous way.

Don't Look to the Eyes of a Stranger

'don't Look To The Eyes Of A Stranger' Agreed, this song sounds like someone is chased by some insane lunatic through nightly streets or something like that. The chorus is a bit repetitive, but the weird guitar part at the end is quite cool.

    Lightning Strikes Twice

'lightning Strikes Twice' I agree that the lyrics are quite accessible, but this also makes the song seem rather dull and uninspired. And the endless repetition of the chorus at the end wasn't necessary.

    The Educated Fool

'the Educated Fool' I don't really get how the song title relates to the lyrics, but that doesn't matter too much as the lyrics are quite interesting insofar that they raise some pretty interesting questions about life and what will happen after one has died. Musicwise the song is pretty average.

    Futureal

'futureal' A pretty short and quick one. Not too bad, but not too memorable as well, so it's a good average one. They could write some more uptempo songs like Futureal.

    The Clansman

'the Clansman' A very good epic song and easily the best one on the album. And I also agree that Blaze's voice fits much better than Bruce's. Didn't Blaze also record this song on his live record? It could be interesting to compare the different live versions.

    The Angel and the Gambler

'the Angel And The Gambler' I think this song is somewhat underrated. Admittedly, it's a bit long, but it has a very unique feel to it, which I really like.

    Sign of the Cross

'sign Of The Cross' This one is simply a great song, perfect rhythm shifts, great lyrics and a very dark and brooding atmosphere. However, I think it was wrong to put this great one right to the beginning of the album, since all the other songs appear weak compared to it.

    Fortunes of War

'fortunes Of War' Again a song about war and what is left behind when the fighting is over. Even though this one's a good song I think they did not need to include both The Aftermath and this song on the album since they both deal with almost the same topic.
