The First:
Iron Maiden - Prowler
Killers - Killers, Wrathchild
The Number of the Beast - Run to the Hills, Hallowed Be Thy Name
Piece of Mind - Flight of Icarus
Powerslave - Aces High
Somewhere in Time - Wasted Years
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son - The Evil That Men Do, Only the Good Die Young
No...
Oh, it did. :innocent:
I can't remember for sure, it was either 2 Minutes to Midnight (Vice City, yeah) or Aces High. I've got the dates mixed up in my memory.
Or maybe it was even earlier. I remember my dad playing "a record with a brain on it" when I was only a few years old.
There is a punk rock band called "Trashcan Darlings". They also have very inspirational album titles, such as "Tunes From the Trashcan" and "The Lipstic Menace". Weird enough for me.
My avatar shows Lisbeth Salander portrayed by Noomi Rapace in Swedish movie trilogy "Millenium". She's actually a character from the three Stieg Larsson's novels.
There's a band in Serbia called S.A.R.S., but surprisingly, that has nothing to do with the well-known respiratory disease. It is actually a short version of Freshly Amputated Hand of Satriani. :D
Yeah, what's with adding "69" to the band name? I mean, Pink Cream, and then The 69 Eyes... They think it makes them more cool? :innocent:
I've also once tried to list band names that have the word "sex" in them and I wasn't much surprised when most of them turned out to be gothic bands...
It's just insane! I know I never care about all the labels and stuff, why bothering with that? And seriously, if someone won't listen to a good band just because, in their opinion, it's not "tr00 metal", they are idiots.
This is a good one, actually. A kind of "let's put to the test everything we think we know about him" book. :)
I'm not really interested in biographies; only in Shakespeare. But thanks for the recommendation, I might read it someday. ;)
On the other hand, I know some people who like metal music but avoid Iron Maiden. Their explanation: they're too soft, it ain't real metal. Oh dear. :o
I've just finished the last part of the "Millenium" trilogy and started reading "Shakespeare - the world as a stage" by Bill Bryson. Quite interesting so far. :)
