Ah. Well, albums like The Dark Ride and Gambling With The Devil are way different. People here either hate Kiske/Kai vocals or happy power metal songs, and these 2 albums have one happy song each and no Kiske or Kai

I don't particularly hate Kiske's vocals (I think he's really good) but I just can't find any connection with power metal whatsoever. I think the melodic nature of classic heavy metal and aggressive nature of thrash rhythms sound weird when they're combined. Bear in mind that I also dislike bands like Iced Earth, Blind Guardian, Accept etc.
