I used to really dig Pitchshifter. Un-United Kingdom, Everything’s Fucked, Hidden Age nda, perfect tunes for young me. Around 2000 they seemed like one of the most exciting bands in the UK. Glad to see they got back together recently

OMG, hell yeah! Literally no one I know listens to them. I remember some years ago JS posted on facebook or something with 'Does anyone still care?' and I was one of the people who replied 'Me! definitely!' That reminds me I havent checked for their new stuff in a while. Something I will fix today since this pandemic has me riding a lot of free time for a while.

They did a special Brexit edition of un-United Kingdom that just starts with mocking laughter which is apt. I think they are planning to record some new stuff, UK metal could do with some politics being shoved back into it

Agreed! I might be alone in thinking this, but I wish more metal bands were like Manic Street Preachers in that sense.

Off the top of my head there are some political bands in the underground like Glitchers ( they turn up outside gigs and play to the waiting crowds and piss people off royally. I think it’s great) and Wargasm (I think) but it’s all pretty niche
