I want to hear a concept album that is Nickelback and Creed working together on a 42 minute version of The Angel and the Gambler. I really want to hear those two fantastic voices singing that super catchy chorus over 28 straight minutes of guest star Lar's Ulrich doing his best to keep up with Nicko's stellar drum performance on that track.

LOL like which ones?
Dave Mustaine singing '2 Minutes to Midnight', 'Caught Somewhere in Time' recorded by one of the blandest bands in existence, Sylosis attempting 'Phantom of the Opera', a Thrash band covering the banal 'Blood Brothers' and James Hetfield "yeahhhhh-ing" his way through the greatest song of all time.

Just for the riffs buddy! You don't listen Megadeth for Dave's vocals.
'Caught Somewhere in Time' recorded by one of the blandest bands in existence
I mean the classic lineup man their early albums are solid and guitars are pure maiden-worship.
Sylosis attempting 'Phantom of the Opera'
Ok they are one of my fav. so quite biased here
a Thrash band covering the banal 'Blood Brothers'
Looking at their last couple of albums, well definitely yes.
James Hetfield "yeahhhhh-ing" his way through the greatest song of all time.
PLEASE!

Well, here we go!
3. "Flight Of The Icarus" - Helloween

This might actually work. Flash of the Blade would translate fairly well into Helloween format too.

Alright, I'm trying to give a serious thought over this. What kind of a tribute album I would REALLY want to see and actually BUY. And... I'll come up with this one! It's a bit biased though, since I put some of my favourite bands here that would not necessarily qute qualify for such record if it was a real thing. I tried to pick as fitting songs for the artists/bands as I could, with heavy rearranging in mind. Some of these are a bit random, like Blind Guardian doing BNW, but some of these might really turn out pretty well, haha!

How can I put this...?

There we go.

I can't think of many I'd like to hear personally, most of the Maiden covers I like are by bands I would never have expected to do the songs in the first place.
Labrie ain't bland. A mug of horlicks is bland. A lengthy discussion about plumbing is bland. Fingernails down a chalkboard, while not particularly pleasant, isn't bland.

Fingernails down a chalkboard...

Are you still talking about LaBrie?

I just find his voice too clean and lacking any power. I mean, he clearly has a strong range, but for the heavier stuff like As I Am he's really lacking, to the point of sounding out of place.

I'm a big fan of Labrie when he's good, but when he's bad....

I agree with you on As I Am but if anything my main criticism of him would be how breathy his vocals are in the softer songs, and how in some higher parts he just says one long string of vowel sounds, hence the remark.

He's done some great vocal performances in the past, and also some less good, particularly recently. No wonder why he is so polarizing.
