Who would you like to see supporting Maiden in 2011?

I've gotta say i'd love for Dream Theater as support for the UK tour, although this is unlikely.... I can dream.
So who would the wonderful people of Maidenfans like to open for Maiden in the upcoming tour?

Halford. Not gonna happen though as he's gonna be busy in 2011 with Priest.

oooh bands. I was going to say I'd like to see the Socialist Party of the Ukraine support maiden in 2011...

I would love to see Megadeth open for Maiden. I know it has been done before so it is not impossible, but I think Megadeth is doing their own thing right now so it is unlikely. :(

I don't know, I think Dave and the guys would love to play with Maiden if asked.

I wouldn't mind seeing Helloween again, opening for Maiden. Their 1998 show was impressive.

Eagle Fly Free
Dr. Stein
Revelation
Push
I Can
The Time of the Oath
Power
How Many Tears

Highlights were Revelation, Push and The Time of the Oath, but an opener like Eagle Fly Free always works too.

I'm seeing them headline in ten days, with Stratovarius as support.  :rocker:  Helloween and Megadeth both deserve to be the main act and play a full show, they shouldn't be opening even for such a great band as Maiden.  Of course, I wouldn't object if they decided to do that, but at the moment I'm quite satisfied with the opener I'll be getting at my show: Alice Cooper. :)

Rod Smallwood should give the girls in The Iron Maidens a call. They're actually pretty good... they could play a set of classics to appease that segment of the audience, leaving the lads able to play TFF in it's entirety :edmetal:. Genius eh?

As good as the Iron Maidens are, I couldn't see them opening for the band that they cover unless they played songs that Maiden won't play.  Like Alexander, Caught Somewhere in Time, To Tame a Land, etc.

or losfer words. (they do a great version) but you're right, i don't think anyone here has an intrest in hearing Run to the Hills twice in one show.

I would like to see Gamma Ray and or Blind Gaurdian as a support act. I know they both have good followings on their own but when they come to montreal, they still only will play 2000-3000 seat clubs. I would love to see them on a huge stage!

I, on the other hand, would love to see Maiden at a small club gig.  I don't even dare think what I would do to get that.  To a lesser extent, same goes for Slayer*, Megadeth and Metallica.  With concerts, size matters... in the opposite way.

* The only problem is, the typical Slayer mosh pit would not fit in a typical club. :D

Hey awesome more "The Iron Maidens" fans here on the sight!!  I have seen them several times and got to meet the ladies after the show in Vegas this summer.  They do rock big time.  They did Alexander the Great at this last show and I was blown completely out of my shoes.  The bass player is unreal, Wanda Ortiz.  Yes I can imagine them opening for the lads!!  outstanding.  If any of you get a chance to see the Maidens' live...DO IT!!
