Chorus and verses are pretty mehh, agreed, but the slow middle part... ...got to mop up some drooling when only thinking about itCharlotte the Harlot
I just don’t get people’s grips with HCW, it’s a killer song with a fantastic bassline, a fun chorus, an epic middle section, plus fantastic solos. Such a well made song and a deserved live staple.Heaven Can Wait
I think this might be it.Prodigal Son, Twilight Zone, Drifter
I agree. Only the chorus is a bit weak (live is better). Killer instrumental section, solos, intro, verses, tempo/drumming/bassline and oh-oh's. The melodies are vintage Maiden. A song made for live performances, a well made song.Heaven Can Wait is very good.
Yes, Drifter. Forgot that one. And the 2005 setlist had many of the weak songs. There was Another Life, Drifter and also Charlotte The Harlot.I just don’t get people’s grips with HCW, it’s a killer song with a fantastic bassline, a fun chorus, an epic middle section, plus fantastic solos. The three worst Maiden songs of the ‘80s are easily “Drifter” and “Purgatory”, and then maybe “Another Life”.
