So it's time to ask yourself - which album is Steve's best album? The best in terms of sound, playing and songs written by him.

For me - quite hard but I would say:
1) Seventh Son
2) AMOLAD
3) Killers

An underrated one is X factor with Sign of the cross, judgment of heaven (I like that one) and Blood on the world's hands.

I’m a big fan of The Final Frontier. Also some of his best lyrical writing on this album. I love the lyrics to Isle of Avalon.

Blaze era albums may be the best ones in terms of steve ideas. AMOLAD and TFF may be his best in terms of lyrics.

Based on songs solely written by Steve (i.e., no co-written tracks included), I'd say Seventh Son of a Seventh Son.

The Number of the Beast probably. Hallowed is the best song ever written, NOTB is up there and he co wrote songs like COTD and Run to the Hills to mention a few. His playing was also at a different level back then.
