Steve's bass lines solo

Does anyone know where i could track down recordings of steve's bass parts on their own or failing that a way to isolate them?. I find it much easier to learn things if i can hear them seperately. Thanks in advance.

There were clips on Youtube featuring the songs without guitars so you could hear Steve well.
Unfortunately they are removed.

You're probably not going to like this answer: practice.

Hearing the bass in rock/metal is often difficult, but Maiden is one of the easiest bands to hear it since it's up front in the mix. (For comparison, try digging John Myung's distorted bass out of Dream Theater songs. Much harder.) Learning to hear the bass takes time and effort, but is worth it.

Also, playing a lot of bass yourself will familiarize yourself with the tones that can be produced. As you play more, you'll hear more.

There is one trick that can help, but it's not much help: speed the music up to double speed. That raises the bass frequencies to a higher level that's easier to hear, and raises the guitars to higher pitches which are harder to hear. The bass really pops out at double speed. You won't be able to play along, but you'll hear where the bass is in the mix. When you return to normal speed, you'll know what to listen for. (This trick is hard to pull off these days - in the era of double-speed cassette dubbing, it was easy. But no one has tape decks anymore...)

I've been playing bass for 25 years. It probably took 5 to 10 years before I could hear every bass line clearly. Just keep trying; you'll get there.

There are no such recordings, except for 2 Minutes To Midnight. That song was featured on Guitar Hero and thus game's data had separate vocal/guitar/bass/drum tracks from original masters inside. You can find it on Youtube.

You can implement SMX's advice in any audio editor, such as free Audacity. And you can increase pitch without speed. You can also try messing with EQ on songs, like boosting the 1 kHz range to get that mid-bass up. Or center channel extractor which will pull guitars a bit aside.

Check this out. Tracks where you can here the bass very well:
