I've never heard either album fully, but I quite liked what I've heard from St. Anger. What I've heard from Lulu made me wish I'd never heard it.

I appreciate Lulu more from an artistic merit standpoint because it's a completely off-the-wall attempt, but St. Anger is much more entertaining because it's garbage and has a lot of quotable moments.

Examples: fran-tic-tic-tic-tic-tic-tic-toc from Frantic, "aeeeeeyyy" moments from Dirty Window, "uuuuhhhhh, what a good boy you are" from Invisible Kid, the chorus from Purify, and James' attempts at angsty vocals throughout.

I straight up enjoy St. Anger. Lulu has got some nice riffs here and there, but also parts that creep the hell out of me. Voted for the Saint.

St. Anger happens to have a handful of great songs completely drowned in rubish production, oil barrel bashing, repetitive song structure and acoustic turds like Shoot Me Again, All Within My Hands and St. Anger.
Frantic and The Unnamed Feeling are amazing songs btw. As for Lulu the only cool thing I can say is that I never managed to listen it on its entirity.

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan... IMO, IK is a cool different approach on Metallica's spectrum and I really dig it. But that part simply RUINS it! So cringe I had to edit it.

I can say this: I made it through all of St. Anger while playing video games (that was the ONLY way). I could not make it through the first half of Lulu. I can’t tell if it’s supposed to be serious or not. Those lyrics...
