It would be great if we didn't have a whole year without Maiden live.
But if there really are live shows 2027, those rascals have been stringing us along.
It is not really likely they have just discussed it among themselves during this tour and then managed to organize everything so quickly that it is about to be announced....

I think its imposible a tour. Theyve been touring 2025 2026 on a very extensive tour. When bruce say lets see that year off is for recording 2 months and leave the rest of the band the rest of the year off. The only option is summer festivals and bruce is doing it. Touring with RFYL? but where?
 
I think we get the live video, hopefully announcement of a new album recording, and maybe something like the Maiden weekend that were this summer.

Hope Steve gets his fix for doing live shows with British lion in 2027 instead for Maiden, so Bruce can do his thing and the other guys get their time off:ahhh:

We all know Bruce loves to overhype things, he also knows saying one thing in an interview will lead to every Maiden fan going crazy with speculation.
I think recording a new album and Maiden fans having both a live album from Paris and new music later in the year is enough to claim that will make fans happy.

They also love to be secretive around new music, so in their minds putting out album 18 to round out 2027 will class as a big surprise, especially with so much uncertainty around doing a new album or not.

Exactly, they're very secretive when they're making new music.
That's why it doesn't really fit and doesn't make sense to announce a surprise already and mean a new album that hasn't been recorded yet and will be released at the end of 2027.
I don't believe that. He must mean something else by "surprises".
 
How about a 3x solo tour with British Lion, Smith/Kotzen, and Bruce Bruce touring together, doing an encore of Maiden covers with the 2/3 of the band that would already be there? Janick and Dave get some extra time off, and Maiden fans get a nice surprise.
 
Please, no! I don't like Iron Maiden cover songs, and certainly not with two-thirds of the Iron Maiden band members.
I would not be Iron Maiden; it would not be a completely different group of musicians interpreting the songs - it would be a mutilated beast.

Steve's comment about “rusting” in 2027 in this interview was the clue. I think we'll see Maiden live next year.
Bruce is going to be so busy. What if he will play at one festival with his solo band and at the next one with Maiden?
