RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

Can we roll the comments back to a year ago when everyone was saying they'd never fill these stadiums and the tour would be a disaster etc?
The US leg was a massive success, and surly will be their blueprint for touring there in the future, limiting it to 10 cities in larger styled venues.
But I guess that will depend on what the next tour looks like set wise, if it's a new album / 2000-20028 dominant then it will be back in arenas.

I have a feeling this is the final tour, no tour and set can top the songs they do live now, and they are not gonna do one final show
I don't get that feeling at all, Bruce toward the end of the second LA show basically said see you in 2 years or maybe sooner than that.
I think it's the end of the long 2 year world tours where every territory is covered, but 2028 is 100% going to see a European summer tour followed by a NA/SA tour in the fall I imagine.

Was in the Alamodome last night in San Antonio. WOW! I have been a Maiden fan for 30+ years and seen them 12+ times, and I know there is some recency bias but I can’t recall a better gig. They were F’ing on point and just tearing it up. Obvioulsy Nicko is missed but Simon played admirably and his fill ins are getting better, sounded great live.

Bruce and all guitarists had a flub here or there, but come on given their age and energy it happens. Still amazed at their stage presence and energy. I am 57 and got tired just standing there and had to sit between IM and the encore. How do they do it? They are all super human. Several of the faster songs (Fear, Aces, RTTH, 2MTM) were played at breakneck speed. Hallowed was great but not as good as LOTB tour. However, best version of Mariner I can recall.

Bruce sounded GREAT and even Aces High was very good, perhaps better than normal due to no back-to-back gigs.

A special night. I bought tickets day one and was worried about this venue even as I tracked ticket sales over the last 6-9 months. Well, it was PACKED 45K - 50K and a good loud energertic crowd.

Alamodome is a good venue in the event space, but the concourses are too small which led to huge lines, but even the outdoor merch lines were super long. I don’t know if the crowd was 45K or 50K but I do know 90% we’re buying shirts and other merch.

Hoping to see them one last time. Still on a IM high, tomorrow depression sets in waiting for next news and able to count the days when I get to see Eddie and the boys again. They are just the best band in the history of the world for any genre of music, we are blessed to be able to enjoy these hard working professionals at the top of their game, and what they give to the fans even at their age when most would be retired or giving very marginal performances. If you didn’t know anything about IM and didn’t l see close ups of their faces on the video screens you would assume all these guys are 28 year old….

UP THE IRONS FOREVER!!

Not ALL of the US / North America gigs were in larger venues. Toronto, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago and Minn. were all in arenas or amphitheaters so 18K +/-. But some areas either don’t have a suitable venue or they weren’t sure of demand or didn’t care as they wanted to play that city / area and played where they had before. The various MLS soccer specific stadiums in the US are perfect (like NJ and LA for this tour) as they can get 25K+ and use the entire larger stage and screens they used for the larger stadiums like Hershey and Alamodome. Play a 2nd night if needed or desired.

I think Hershey did well, San Antonio Alamodome was a HUGE success. True Alamodome is a football stadium but it’s not like a massive NFL stadium.

Agree that less cities and larger shows will be the blueprint for next US tour. Wherever they play, I will be there.

Even Mexico that was deemed a flop here by a certain someone is now sold out.

South america and mexico had been and will be a success. Even with blaze they played big stadiums. So now if they dont fill more stadiums is because they dont want to add more dates.

But yes, people said that this tour would be a disaster, bucharest, london in knebworth tickes nearly for 1 £ ....
Again filling stadiums and at least for what we see they are still happy and dont care if thy fill big stadiums or play in arenas.

Spot on couldn`t agree more. I`m already saving up for 2028 and very much hoping for another tour.

It`s great to see so much positivity on here about this fantastic tour & setlist after listening to so much negative nit picking nonsense for the last 12 months.

I dont know if the best band in the world lol but i understand that feeling but one of the best band live in history for sure. Even now in their mid 60s -70 you can go to the show and say that is iron maiden.

A decent recording from san antonio

Only "full show" that i hsve found from paris 2026. Sounds great even in this video. And bruce doesnt strain his voice? I think he doesnt try to reach as high as posble in some parts

I think we don't appreciate enough how high quality setlist RFYL actually is. I was just looking Iron Maiden Song Survivor thread and based on that Maiden is playing 6 songs out of all time top 10 and 8 songs from top 12. Roughly half of the songs in the set are the very best of Maiden chosen by forum fans themselves. So it is indeed quite fitting setlist for such a tour.

Side note - out of top 14 Maiden have played 12 songs in the last 5 years, not bad, not bad at all.

I think the live album that comes from this is going to be one of their best, my only concern is 2MTM and the encore. If they use that sloppy Knebworth performance it would be a really huge downgrade compared to Paris.

They will mash together the Paris show (which reportedly was excellent) and splice in the rest, and my guess is it would be like Flight 666 and they will pick the best versions / recordings of the remaining songs as needed not necessarily all from one gig. I think they should even will include 2MTM until the power goes off…. :)

Didn’t know Tinley Park was that big, that’s huge for an amphitheater whereas most seat 18K-20K.
