Maidenaustria
Ancient Mariner
Up the Irons!
I'm a married Maidenfan now - with whom?
Well, with my wife... Her name is Tami and we're together since 5,5 years -> Love 'ya!
Our honeymoon brought us first for 6 days to London *hmmm* and after that 7 days to Lanzarote.
For all Geographics: It's one of the Canary Islands, northwest of the African continent.
Hum, the second part of our honeymoon was just for relaxing and being lazy.
That's why I'm about to write only about London - what is much more interesting for you all....
First of all I have to say:
Without the help of [a href=\'http://www.drunkenangels.at/alf.htm\' target=\'_blank\']Maiden-Alf[/a](one of us 3 Austrian-hardcore-collectors) I wouldn't have been able to see all the places to see.
Because of multiple Londontrips, he arranged a unique list with all the important adresses, Undergrounds and stations to help me navigating.
Thank you Alf!!!!!
On my birthday, the 8th September, we went out to visit the first Maiden-Highlight - The London Dungeon
The first real Photo session took place there....along with that Iron Maiden there.
Next step was the HMS Belfast , also a promo-photo place [!--emo&

If you want to see the originals: Booklet "Iron Maiden" and "Killers" of the multimedia CD's - there are several pics there.
East End was our next stop to see the West Ham stadium, and of course the fanshop.
Very funny area there, was a kind of "little-India" there.
Sadly there wasn't a game during our time in London, 'cause I'd love to see one.
Then we walked north to Ruskin Avenue...
Yes - Ruskin Avenue - because of the legendary Ruskin Arms Pub where Maiden played several times between 1977 and the last time at 23.12.1981.
Tami made some pics at the entrance of the Pub. While we were taking photos an Indian man was standing outside and asked us if we have been back in the back already.
He saw why were where there, because we both wore a Maidenshirt.
An other man was talking with him and he didn't understood why we are there and taking photos...
While we walked in, we talked 'bout Maiden and yes - finally we were there...
Wooden floor, some tables, large bar, a Pool-table, a Dart-wall, a game-computer and all over the walls photos from Steve Harris and Paul Di'Anno.
We walked backwards right after I've enjoyed all the impressions - through a door into the stage area, which is still used for Metal events.
We leaned over the bar on which Steve Harris started his interview for the 12 wasted Years VHS/DVD. I also went onstage and enjoyed a view over the pub and thought about the legendary gigs.... [!--emo&--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/headbang.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'headbang.gif\' /][!--endemo--]
Sounds a bit strange but I felt still some energy at this stage.
It was an awesome feeling to be there, at one of the first places Maiden ever played.
We took some pics for sure!!
The Owner showed me some shirts and hoodies - I bought both [!--emo&

And after that we enjoyed a Pint of Guinness.
Tami told the owner 'bout my birthday and he spend a Whiskey for me - Cheers!
After we've finished we made our way home....
This day was something special for me and I won't never forget it... [!--emo&
