Maiden have now finished recording

I like this attitude, and I think that's what has been keeping Maiden from boring heavy metal fans. Instead of doing what others want them to, they have stuck to their own, and done it well. For 30 years.

I'm really looking forward to this album - since they've already done the recording I guess it won't be more than a few weeks until it hits the shelves? I'll get it on the day of its release.

Uhh, are you kidding? It'll take months, probably half a year at least.

*represses impatience*

Marketing can sometimes play a part too remember though, remember that AMOLAD was released shortly before an album tour, they can delay it all they want to this end (as well as attempting to avoid other major album releases and try to catch Christmas sales, etc).
This applies to pretty much everything these days, rarely does anyone sell something as soon as possible.
