Lord of Light solo

I understand that there is a trick used at the end of H's LOL solo. Can someone tell me what he is doing and how? I'd also like to know the term if any

Hmm, that. I think he uses something called an octave pedal, if there's even such a thing.

I just do some slides all the way up the neck to emulate the sound.

yea he uses a pitch-shifter but I wanna know how he makes the noises. I have been using a slide too but I know that's wrong

My only guess is a harmonic, and then he uses the pedal to bend the note up, making it sound like that.
Don't think it's a pinch harmonic though, would have sounded more crunchy.
