I got the album Comalies for x-mas and i love it, I like them as much as Maiden I suppose. Anyone else like them?

While I wouldn't call them bad per se, I just don't see what makes them special. A few good songs, otherwise quite boring

I wouldnt say no to Amy Lee, even if she is in the worst band in the world, bar one.

Lacuna Coil is, like Arch Enemy, a decent band, but nothing special. Not really my style, either. Bands like Tristania are far better at the whole "gothic metal" thing.

[/quote]Arch Enemy is decent, and I love their vocalist. I never knew a woman could growl so well. However, the music itself is pretty boring for me. Standard gothenburg stuff, which is good if you like that I guess, but makes me want to turn to something more interesting.Lacuna Coil is, like Arch Enemy, a decent band, but nothing special. I've got their other CDs and theyre no where near as good as Comalies, they only have a handfull of really good songs [Swamped, Heaven's a Lie, Ghost Woman And The Hunter and Unspoken], nothing like the endless list of great Maiden songs. I also got 2 nightwish CDs, despite the male singer being a bit rubbish and some songs [like i wish i had an angel] suck, I really like them, especialy Tarja's voice. Ever Dream, Creek Mary's Blood and Nemo are my favourite Nightwish songs. Female singers make a nice change from Bruce Dickenson singing about death and and Ozzy singing about depression. Then I still like Maiden best.
