Re: JUDAS PRIEST, HEAVEN AND HELL, MOTÖRHEAD & TESTAMENT

The Americans get all the great tours :(

Indeed.

Ehh, sorry guys, just realized that this topic should have been posted in the Tour Dates forum.

Anyone know how much those tickets would be in the US?  Must be pretty damn expensive to see so many big bands in one show.

I was thinking the Judas priest thread... :p

Nah, the fact that these huge bands tour together deserves an own topic. ;)

No one going, metalheads?

I wish I could, but I can't. The tour's not coming to Denver. And the only show close enough to drive to is on August 27 - the same night Obama will give his acceptance speech right here in Denver. I love Priest and all the other bands, but no way in hell I'm missing Obama's speech.

I wish I could, it's only a 2 hour drive, but I don't have the funds for it... surprise surprise

I realized that the Albuquerque show is not the same night as Obama's speech, so I may be free to attend that show. However, I have to work the next morning back in Denver. So it still appears to be improbable - unless I drive 420 miles to the show, attend the concert, drive 420 miles back overnight, work the next day (by this time I'd be awake for over 24 hours, of course), get a few hours of sleep and then do Obama's speech (I am attempting to get a ticket to attend that speech in person). And of course, work the next day as well, still at least a half-night behind on my sleep.

Possible? Yes. Insane? Hell fuck yes.

Haven't made up my mind yet.

There's a limit to what coffee can do for you. And the crash when the caffeine wears off is worse than natural exhaustion.

The only workable solution is obvious:
I need to install a jet or rocket engine on the back of my car, such that the 420-mile drive to/from Albuquerque only takes a couple of hours.

Or perhaps create a black hole in Trinidad, which will absorb a large chunk of the Earth and draw Denver and Albuquerque closer together.

Or bribe the crew of the Judas Priest tour to come to Denver instead of Albuquerque and set up the concert in the park at the end of my street. Does anyone have the cell phone number for Priest's tour manager? I can offer 3 dollars and 62 cents.

a Cocaine binge was going to be my next suggestion, but I you becoming the Rocketeer is much cooler than putting such contraption in your car.
