There's a very interesting interview of Mister Jon Schaffer in Rock Hard issue 69 (French Edition/September 07) where the guy talks about various aspects of Iced Earth's last LP. Among other things Jon said he planned to write and record with Ronnie James Dio. He said no one could know when this will happen but Dio and him were into doing a common record.
However, not a lot of people knows that: Jon explained that he was about to record with Bruce when the classical Maiden line-up revived (i.e. 1999). Not that hard to believe after all...
