The hardrock icons Iron Maiden only needed two days to kick the popking Per Gessle from the hitlist first place, a position he has held for eleven weeks.
- Nothing surprise us any more when it comes to our super loyal Swedish fans, says the happy bas player Steve Harris.
After laying on untouched in the top all summer with the solo cd "Mazarin" Per Gessle to day has to make why for Iron Maiden and there thirteen studio album "Dance of death".
In short the Swedes love iron maiden.


Praises the Swedes
- I knew that you would do it, laughs happily Steve Harris. It is incredible. I think it depends on that the Swedes has realized that we go from clarity to clarity.

Has sold 60 million records
* Iron Maiden has sold between 55 and 60 million records. The last, "Brave new world" (2000), sold over 2 million. In Sweden it became nr 1 and a gold record with 45 000 in sales.
* Best in our country has "The number of the beast" (1982) sold with its 80 000. The new "Dance of death" is already a gold record with over 30 000 in sales already
