News Iron Maiden News, Links, and Interviews

I'm pretty sure they will record between mid February to late April/early May. Bruce's album will probably be released in March or so, with European tour to follow. North and South America in autumn.

That would be a perfect timing for them to release a single in early September 2027 with album and 2028 tour announcement in November.

It will be pretty interesting to follow Bruce's tour next year, because he will be probably dropping hints if they indeed record in spring.
The other boys seem to want a year off so...maybe 4 months its to close but bruce solo tour starts in june?

Bruce: “Would I like to do a new Iron Maiden album now? Yes. Would I like to do one starting next year? Yes. So over to you, Steve.”

Steve: “No. We haven’t had a band discussion about it yet. I know Bruce wants to do one. He said in an interview that I didn’t want to do one, which is not true. When he told me about it, I just said, ‘Yeah, maybe, we’ll see.’ At the moment it’s more important that we focus on playing live. Plus, Bruce is doing stuff with his solo project next year, so we’ll see.

Bruce says starting this year.

Tours are announced and tickets on sale about 8-9 months ahead of the tour starting. So a 2028 tour starting in summer would be announced around September 2027, which is their typical release time for a new album (mid August-early September since Dance of Death)

To have the tour logistics organised they will be planning this stuff about now. They'll be looking at what countries to hit (likely Europe) and promoters will be placing holds on the venues they're likely to play. This work is done way in advance of any announcements.

We know Bruce is keen to do new material and has mentioned throwing out 90% of the current setlist (likely an exaggeration)
Steves position has softened a bit compared to previous interviews.

Again they'll have to be thinking about booking a studio now because they tend to block somewhere out for 2-3 months to write and record.

They said there would be no shows in 2027, but Bruce says he'll be very busy. So I think a break from touring but a few months in the studio seems most likely.

Here steve says that he wants to double check if the rest of the band wants a year off. In another says that if they want a new record he is up to it.

Yes, but recent statements from Bruce confirm, that they had a band discussion about that during the course of the tour.

Since the reunion, Bruce has been vocal about not becoming a cabaret act that relies on the hits. Though he's clearly become less adamant about some of his stipulations upon returning (top-notch producer to make great sounding albums), I'm glad he's still pushing to keep recording and touring new material.

I also forgot about it but it is on visions of the beast? 7th son had four singles but No Prayer only had two in the UK if I recall, so maybe they planned on Tailgunner as the third but never went for it.

Mind you, they did similar in 1992. Wasting Love has a video and a Cd single but was also never a Uk single either.

So Nicko trashed the dressing room in anger at Blaze's vocal performance after the St Antonio 1998 show? Wow, that's a revelation. So is Dick Bell's reaction.
