This grouping seems a little underwhelming for a bunch of songs that will all finish in the top half of this ranking.
But I am very interested in watching the results of the the match-ups between two of the band's best singles — Aces High vs Wasted Years,
and two highly-ranked songs some are calling overrated — Revelations vs CSIT

I made a mistake. I accidentally voted for 'Prowler' and 'Die With Your Boots On'. :help2:I meant to vote only for 'Prowler' but screwed up. Sorry. :(

Even though I voted against it, I'm glad to see Run Silent, Run Deep holding it's own against the mighty Duellists! Like all of the No Prayer album, it's a very underrated song, and it just shows how highly I rate The Duellists that I voted for that one against Run Silent.

Seconded, 100% !

You have great taste! :)

The Duellists is one of my all time fave Maiden songs, and the fact that I actually had to think for a moment about that match-up shows what a great song I think Run Silent... is. I'm very pleasantly surprised to see it keeping pace with The Duellists, as I was expecting it to get thrashed! It's great to see some love shown to the much maligned No Prayer stuff. <3

Crimson Idol

Caveman
I voted for RSRD, I do like the song but still would be unlikely to place it in top50... however I also think Duelists is rather overrated.

Maybe someone could explain this to me:
There are a number of songs frequently dismissed on this site as being too repetitive — No More Lies being perhaps the best of them.
How does Caught Somewhere in Time escape this criticism? It is easily as repetitive as No More Lies.

Ancient Mariner
I believe the instrumental parts in CSIT are more varied and more original. E.g., I think the solo runs in No More Lies are all on top of the same chord scheme. The choruses in CSIT might be less repetitive as well, I could dive into this later.
