Favorite intro from a Maiden song

Kalata

Out of the Silent Planet
Maiden have created a lot of fantastic intros to their songs over the years !

Some of my favorites are:

- No Prayer For The Dying
- The Pilgrim
- Wasted Years
- Ghost Of The Navigator
- Brave New World
- Childhood's End
- The Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner

..... basically, Maiden never disappoints with intros !

I love the intro and buildup in Moonchild, up to where the lyrics start. Obviously it was much more magnified live.

My top six are the Prophecy, Children of the Damned, The Pilgrim, Caught Somewhere in Time, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, and the Evil that Men Do

Caught Somewhere in Time
The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner
Infinite Dreams
Ghost of the Navigator
Back in the Village
Still Life
Deja Vu

Not necessarily my favourite, but it was the first thing that sprang to mind as a great Maiden intro, and I'm surprised it's not mentioned yet

Killers.

Also, surprised to not the see The Clairvoyant mentioned yet either.

EDIT: or Phantom!

Chronologically:
Phantom of the Opera

Killers
Murders in the Rue Morgue

Run To The Hills

Revelations (simple but truly majestic)

Heaven Can Wait
Alexander The Great

Moonchild
The Evil That Men Do
The Clairvoyant
The Prophecy (though I consider the rest of the song is ruined by the unsuited vocal melodies)

Tailgunner
Run Silent Run Deep

Fear of the Dark

Sign of the Cross
Man On The Edge

When Two Worlds Collide

Ghost of the Navigator
Brave New World

Dance of Death
Paschendale

The Legacy

Satelitte 15...
The Talisman

Speed of Light
Empire of the Clouds

Some that would have been included, hadn't they been so long: To Tame A Land, The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner, The Fugitive, Blood on the World's Hands, Out of the Silent Planet (basically, I don't like "double -or triple- intros" very much)

Worst intros: The Red and the Black, The Thin Line Between Love And Hate, The Book of Souls, For The Greater Good of God
