I don't believe that is Bruce Dickinson. Did he drink a big glass of suck before singing that? Where'd you get that from anyway? The last entry said only two songs were fixed and finished. From what I've seen, Maiden isn't a band to have stuff leaked, so I don't believe this is theirs.

My mistake, it says that two songs are done, but there aren't any vocals for them.
 
I have 3 things to say about this:

1. That doesn't sound like Bruce to me, but rather a skilled imitator. The drum fills don't sound like Nicko either, though I'll admit the main drumbeat is a good imitation. Overall: I don't think this is Maiden. It's just some soundalike clone.

2. Playing the song in my browser (Firefox) caused a browser crash. I wouldn't trust this site if I were you.

3. Consider the source. While we welcome new members to this forum, I find it suspicious that this is the one and only post from a brand new member. I also find it suspicious that no one is talking about this on the Maiden Fans United BB - if it were geniuine Maiden stuff, I'm sure they'd be talking about it there.

Conclusion:
I suspect this is not an Iron Maiden song, but rather something that "Stardust" is trying to promote for his own reasons. In other words, I agree that "Stardust" is trying to hoax us. I'll leave the thread open for now, but only because I lack evidence to prove my suspicion.

definitelly it cant be. last demos are rehearsals from 81 with bruce/ruskin arms rehearsals
what do you think this track could make for music audience? BIG BIG sensation
its not kind of EMI work although this kind of alternative approaches could work in future
all of us would like to hear maiden in working progress but in that time its impossible.

I think it's just too short to be a Maiden song. 2.40 mins? I don't think this is the short song Shirley mentioned. Maiden's short songs usually have a duration of at least 3 and a half mins. How did you find out about this song anyway?

This does not sound like an Englishman let alone Bruce. The accent is very European - if you see what I mean! The words are pronounced similar to the way Michael Kiske does.

Maybe it's the poor sound quality that has drawn me to this conclusion.

Doubtful this is real. As SMX said, we have no proof of the authenticity of the source, and nothing has been said on Kev's site about people being allowed in the studio to smuggle recording equipment in (incidentally, the one person not affiliated with Maiden that has been in the studio is Jimmy Page-maybe he recorded it [img src=\"style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/happy.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"^_^\" border=\"0\" alt=\"happy.gif\" /]). I haven't listened to much of it, but those vocals aren't Bruce's-they're a good imitation, but therein lies the clue-they sound too much like someone imitating Bruce's voice, rather than Bruce himself. Bass is absent but that may be due to the poor quality recording. Guitarwork and style of the song is quite like Maiden, but a bit too commercial-if this is real, it would have to be either the 'long, proggy song' or the 'rocking single' Kev talked about. This sounds too simple for the proggy piece and too slow for the rocker. I think we have a hoax on our hands. Also, the drums sound to me as if they're MIDI.

It says:

People who seriously think this is Maiden need to clean their ears (or brain). LOL!

The voice sounds like a cross between the singer of Rhapsody and the singer of Edguy. Some chords sound like "Look for the Truth", and that's about the only thing that reminds me of Maiden.
 
The first clue this isn't real should be the HORRIBLE quality, it sounds like it was recorded in some basement with one microphone with the band 50 feet away! This is no "leak" from any respectable studio...

Then that would be a reason to remove his priveleges, as our rules state that no sharing of official studio material is allowed.

If the album does leak to the internet before its official release, let this be a warning to anyone who is thinking of posting links here: do it, and you'll likely be banned instantly.

The only reason "Stardust" hasn't been banned yet is because that song isn't Maiden.
