Well,he is not in a worse shape than the last recent interview. There was a reason behind not planning any live dates for 2015! He would need quite some time to recover.

He sounds different to me, but there's multiple possible reasons for this.

1. Audio quality of the recording.
2. He's speaking normally, not in his stage voice, which I'm more accustomed to hearing.
3. The cancer treatment.

We'll have to hear more (from a better source, quality-wise) to know if what part of it is the treatment, if any.

The Iron Maiden frontman cites his grandfather for giving him the strength to endure his recent battle with cancer.

I am trying to hear/read as many interviews with the band as possible, so I'd like to check if I have missed this one.
