Bartholomew Roberts was born in Wales 1682. He started his piracy career late at age 37. February 1722, his ship was traveling off the coast of Africa. When about dawn a ship called the “Ogle” arrived. The “Ogle” people released cannon fire towards Robert’s ship. One of Roberts crew members saw him lying over a cannon cold dead. Roberts crew threw him overboard to keep his body from being seized.
